Study Determines If Working Out On Weekends Is As Good As Daily Exercise

According to a new study, working out on the weekends is JUST as effective for your health as working out daily is, as long as you're getting the same amount of exercise.

The researchers wanted to answer the question:

“Does performing the recommended levels of weekly physical activity in 1 to 2 sessions (weekend warrior) vs 3 or more sessions (regularly active) influence mortality?”

According to the research:

“Compared with physically inactive participants, hazard ratios for all-cause mortality were 0.92 for weekend warriors and 0.85 for regularly active participants; findings for cause-specific mortality were similar.” the researchers reported.

Meaning there is little difference when it comes to reduced mortality risk when comparing "weekend warriors" and "weekday Gym-goers."
