Earlier this week, I read a study from England that involved listing the amount of EXERCISE you'd need to burn off food items, in addition to listing the calorie count.
That inspired this story, what would the exercise label look like on fall's most popular beverage...the Pumpkin Spice Latte?
Here's the breakdown...
A Tall Pumpkin Spice Latte with nonfat milk and no whip cream is the best option . . . it has 200 calories, 0 grams of fat, and 29 carbs. And to burn that off through exercise, you'd have to jog for 1.6 miles OR do burpees for 21 minutes.
Stepping it up with a Grande Pumpkin Spice Latte with 2% milk and whipped cream puts you at about 390 calories, 14 grams of fat, and 52 carbs. That will take you around 40 minutes of burpees or more than a three-mile jog.
And the full-blown Venti Pumpkin Spice Latte with whole milk and whipped cream has nearly 500 calories, 20 grams of fat, and 63 grams of sugar. That will take you around 54 minutes of burpees, or jogging for 4.6 miles.
