The holiday season probably isn’t on your mind as you enjoy summer days by the pool, but it’s never too early to start planning, especially if you’ll be shopping for kids. Laurie Schacht, Chief Toy Officer at The Toy Insider, shares the toys she predicts will be on every kids’ wish list this year.
The toy expert says these will be some of the most popular toys for the 2023 holiday season:
- Jurassic World Ravenous Raptors: The Dino Chomping Game - Kids can “chomp, romp and roar” their way to the highest score as they feed their hungry raptors as many snack balls as possible.
- Barbie: The Movie Collectible Doll - She’s dressed in a pink gingham dress and looks just like Margot Robbie in the movie.
- Barbie Dreamhouse 2023 - Barbie’s pink Dreamhouse comes with a puppy slide and pool, pet elevator, as well as over 75 accessories and a three-story spiral slide.
- Hot Wheels RC Barbie Corvette - All things Barbie will be must-haves this holiday season, according to Schacht, including Barbie’s 1956 Corvette Stingray. This remote controlled car holds two Barbie Dolls and has room in the trunk for all their road trip accessories.
- Make It Real™ Mini Pottery Studio - Parents and kids will love this no mess, no noise craft kit that uses air dry clay and includes 10 projects for your little artist.
- Cra-Z-Art The Real Cotton Candy Maker - This kid-friendly cotton candy maker actually makes the fluffy treat in minutes and this toy expert says it works “like magic.”
- Bitzee Interactive Toy Digital Pet and Case - Even though this pet is virtual, kids can still touch and feel it. As they swipe, tilt, shake and touch the mini pet, it will grow from a baby to an adult.
- Faction Skyfire Target Drone - This driverless target drone comes with auto-pilot controls and works with any gel or dart blaster, plus you can also fly it as a normal drone.
- Magic Mixies Magical Misting Cauldron - This was one of the hottest toys of 2022 and Schacht expects it will be again this year. Kids can mix their potion, then use the toy’s magic wand to make a furry friend pop out.
- Fisher-Price Barbie Tricycle with Handlebar Grips - Another Barbie-themed toy, this pink and purple trike already has more than 24-thousand five-star reviews on Amazon.
