Hardy has written hit songs for Morgan Wallen, they've released songs together and they've toured together. At this point their careers are pretty much intertwined. But Hardy was initially reluctant to work with him.
During the commencement speech at his alma mater, Middle Tennessee State University, Hardy said he was young and hungry at the time, and he wasn't sure that writing for some unknown guy would do anything for his career.
Obviously, it worked out for him BIG TIME. He told the students, quote, "Take a chance on things. Take a chance on people. Take a chance on yourself. The word 'Yes' can truly change your life."
