The price of Netflix is going up for the first time since October of 2023. Even the ad-supported plan is being hiked, from $6.99 to $7.99.
The standard ad-free tier is jumping by $2.50, from $15.49 to $17.99. And the premium plan is going from $22.99 to 24.99.
The cost of adding an extra member to a primary account is going up too, from $7.99 to $8.99.
Netflix says, quote, "As we continue to invest in programming and deliver more value for our members, we will occasionally ask our members to pay a little more so that we can re-invest to further improve Netflix."
It's not clear when the prices will go up, but it's worth noting that Netflix also announced its biggest-ever jump in subscribers, and a quarterly revenue that reached $10 billion for the first time in its history.
