Indiana Woman Dies With Python Around Her Neck, 140 Snakes In The House

Okay, one of my greatest fears is snakes. I'm fine with everything from a spider on up, but a snake... OH HELL NO! I dislike any kind of snake from the little garter snakes to the ones that eat whole humans! There was this one time where I was walking my dog and I thought that's how we were going to die! We lived in a townhouse and one night I took Ava (my dog) for a walk and I had my glasses on which were not my recent prescription so I couldn't see that well. I heard a snake noise that sounded like slithering, and some rattles, so I sped up our pace to get the hell out of there. Wouldn't you know it... it was the sprinkler system. Talk about a heart attack! I couldn't imagine being the authorities showing up to this woman's house and see this!

According to the Washington Post, Indiana authorities were responding to a call at what is known as the "reptile house!" It's an actual house, no one lives there and it's just to house reptiles, they may call it the "reptile house" but I'm calling it the House of Horrors! Next door to the house lives a Benton County Sheriff named Donald Munson, who owned the said house plus a collection of reptiles. Munson would frequently go in to check on the reptiles with help from a woman named Laura Hurst. A couple days ago Munson went to check on the reptiles and that's when he made the startling discovery of 36-year-old Hurst dead with an 8-foot python wrapped around her neck. According to the Indiana State Police. Hurst is said to have owned at least 20 of the snakes inside the house. Oh, and if you were wondering where Hurst got her 20 snakes from... according to an attorney for Hurst, she got the snakes as part of her divorce negotiations.

The Indiana State Police have confirmed that there are about 140 snakes inside the little blue home in Indiana, and they aren't sure what kind of permits they have to keep the dozens of reptiles, or what they are doing with them. The house had also been renovated to accommodate the snake collection, and the the reptiles were stored and caged properly. I would hope so and they weren't all slithering around!
