There are a lot of life hacks out there where you can use everyday items. It makes you wonder sometimes who was the first person to try it. Like milking a cow, what was the farmer doing to discover that? Another head scratcher, is who was the first person to take a potato and rub it on the windshield of their car and realize it works perfectly for defogging and deicing your windshield?
According to the Famers' Almanac, they claim that if you cut a potato in half and rub it over your windshield the night before it freezes, ice won't form. You might be thinking to yourself that this sounds absurd, and what have you been smoking Dubs! Well... it's science apparently, the sugar from the potato creates a barrier over the window. Oh, this hack also works for inside the windshield as well!
If you aren't a believer, and think there's no way this can happen! There's actual video proof in the form of a YouTube video, you can watch below!
