With the COVID-19 outbreak there are hospitals and clinics that are running out of masks or have run out of masks. There have been multiple clothing companies that have halted production on their goods to start making masks and gowns.
The Minneapolis based company Love Your Melon is making cotton fabric face masks designed to serve as an additional line of defense against COVID-19 for young patients and their parents, according to Twin Cities Business. Love Your Melon has pledged to make 50,000 masks over the next two weeks and will be donated to children's hospitals, care facilities, and nonprofits around the country that support children with cancer, who are at high risk.
Oh, not only is Love Your Melon sending out face masks, they are shipping out care packages as will that are filled with coloring books, LEGOs, and super hero costumes for kids who are stuck in the hospital during these times!
