It's officially graduation season... even though it doesn't feel like it! There's one thing that I haven't thought about and that is all the senior athletes that didn't get to play in their final season.
As a graduation gift, the Elk River baseball coach buried a baseball in the corn field aka the outfield at the Field Of Dreams. In the video posted on the Elk River Baseball twitter, he states that this is a graduation gift to the class of 2020 and the seniors who didn't get a chance to play in their final season this year. The ball has the name of all 13 seniors that didn't get to play in their final season for Elk River.
Not only are all the names of the seniors on the ball but also inscribed on the ball, "great baseball players, better young men."
