Your Christmas Tree Might Smell Like Guinness Beer This Year

Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how boozy are your branches!

Because of the coronavirus, plenty of beer was produced, and it pains me to say this but, it went to waste. But you have to give some credit to the Guinness brewery in Dublin, Ireland. They were able to send unused kegs of beer to Christmas tree farms to use as fertilizer, according to The Takeout.

You might be thinking... how does beer fertilize Christmas trees? Believe it or not, beer forms a rich compost, which give the trees all they need to grow. So, I guess the whole using 7up trick to keep your tree fresh was a myth! So while things might be a bit of a bummer now, people in Ireland do have something to look forward to as their Christmas trees are sure to be epic. I really hope Christmas tree farms start doing this here in the United States. Could you imagine having a tree that emits evergreen and your favorite beer? It would be a Christmas miracle
