A League Of Their Own is in my top 3 favorite baseball movies of all time. For me, when it comes to classic movies, don't mess with them! When I learned that there was a sequel to The Sandlot I refused to watch it, again don't mess with the classics, also there's no need for a sequel to The Sandlot.
When I saw this article on Hollywood Reporter about A League Of Their Own getting a reboot, but it's going to be a TV series. Honestly I would watch this! The TV series reboot will be on Amazon's streaming service, and will be based on the 1992 film about the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League that began during World War II.
The show's cast will include Chanté Adams, D’Arcy Carden, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Kelly McCormack, Roberta Colindrez and Priscilla Delgado. Molly Ephraim, Kate Berlant and Melanie Field will have recurring roles, and some surviving members of the AAGPBL will serve as consultants on the series. The series will be created by Abbi Jacobson (who also stars in the series) and Will Graham. I can't wait to see this series, and here's to hoping it doesn't flop!
