Pizza Hut Is Bringing Back Its "Edge" Pizza From The '90s

My love for pizza came at a price, it was a small price but nonetheless it fueled my love for it. That price I paid was reading a certain amount of books every month to obtain a small piece of paper that would give me a free personal pan pizza at Pizza Hut. It was called Book-It and I remember reading every book in the world to get as much free pizza as I could. There was one pizza from my childhood that I remember and it was called "The Edge" and it's coming back!

Pizza Hut has announced they're bringing back a thin-crust pizza called "The Edge" that originally debuted in 1997, according to Nation's Restaurant News. The main selling point for this pizza in the '90s was that was that all the toppings went all the way to the edge, and now in 2021 that doesn't seem like a big deal! The pizza is made with their Thin 'N Crispy crust, which is the first type of dough they used at Pizza Hut in the 1950s.

They also brought The Edge back for a limited time in 2009, but it's been gone for over a decade. Pizza Hut also announced that this one's a limited-time thing too. I guess they're not that nostalgic about price though. The original Edge pizza debuted for $8.99, and the reboot costs $12.99. The pizza will also come in 4 varieties:

  • The Ultimate is topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, onions and tomatoes;
  • The Carnivore is topped with pepperoni, ham, Italian sausage and bacon;
  • The Vegetarian is topped with green peppers, onions, mushrooms and tomatoes;
  • Pepperoni Lover’s is topped with triple the pepperoni.
