Cancer sucks! I lost my my Dad to liver cancer, and I'm sure I'm not the only person that lost a parent to cancer. Plain and simple, cancer is the absolute worst. But, there might be a cure!
For years and years now, people have wanted a cure for cancer and a vaccine that prevents the recurrence and development of breast and ovarian cancers could become available in less than a decade, according to BigThink.com.
The researchers at the Mayo Clinic in Florida have developed an immunotherapy treatment that will train your immune system to recognize and kill breast cancer cells! The results are based on early-stage clinical trials, and the vaccine seems to have successfully removed cancer cells in one patient, and another is showing positive results!
Now before they could give the vaccine to those affected by breast cancer, it will need to pass the FDA's phase 3 trials. That is a process that probably won't happen for another three years. However, researchers are confident the treatment will withstand the screening.
