Usually when I fish I think the fish is big and then it's no bigger than my hand, but I couldn't imagine catching this!
On Monday 21-year-old Mikhale Pearthree was out on Lake Bde Maka Ska in his canoe and that's when get got a bite. In an interview with Fox 9, he told them, "I could feel it and it felt like a big fish. Once I saw it, I didn’t realize it was quite as big, but once it got closer, I realized it was big. Pearthree says he fought with the fish for several minutes before realizing that he couldn't get it into the canoe. He says, "the canoe almost tipped, and I paddled to shore and by the time I got to shore, the fish was non-responsive." When he got to shore Pearthree realized he caught a 54.5-inch musky! He also said that "it's the fish of a lifetime."
