I have no idea who started calling complainers Karen. There are Karen's out there that don't complain or want to talk to a manager. My mom's name was Karen and on second thought there were times where she did talk to a manager. But that's besides the point.
Have you ever wanted your own "Karen" without the risk of having a toxic human in your life? Well, there's a Kickstarter campaign where they're offering a "Karen" action figure. There's also a "Joe the Manager" figure which is the nemesis to Karen. Both action figures will cost you $34 to get them both. The campaign runs through September 8th. There's already 33 backers for the action figures and $1,132 pledged of their $30,000 goal.
Both action figures are just under four inches tall. "Karen" is wearing a shirt that says "Live, Love, Laugh" with skinny jeans, and "Joe" is wearing a red vest, a mask, and is carrying a clipboard.
