If you were hoping to become a billionaire last night, you know your chances were delayed after there was a delay in the drawing. A lot of people thought there was a delay so they could rig the Powerball. Well, turns out that isn’t the case and the state to blame for the delay is Minnesota.
According to David Schuman’s tweet, the Minnesota Lottery told him that Minnesota’s verification system caused a processing delay on Monday, November 7th. The delay was necessary to confirm the Powerball drawing could be conducted securely and accurately. At no time was the integrity of the process compromised. So yeah, Minnesota was the reason for delay!
