This turtle looks old enough to be a dinosaur!
According to Bring Me The News, Buffalo resident Shala Holm has been visiting the Brainerd Lakes area for years, but one evening out fishing with her daughter this past July made for a great memory that is going viral. Holm and her family were staying at their usual spot, Niemeyer's Rugged River Resort which is by Rice Lake, and spending their time fishing in their tandem pedal kayak.
They didn't think any of their family members would believe them so they went back the next day hoping to see the turtle, and that’s when they saw something big in the water, an enormous snapping turtle! The photo of the enormous snapping turtle has gone viral. The Minnesota DNR believes the turtle to be estimated anywhere from 15 to 30 years old. You can check out the photo below!
