Here I thought I was a great speller! This third grader from Edina could out spell me!
According to Bring Me The News, third-grade student Vihaan Kapil in Edina qualified for the 2023 Scripps National Spelling Bee and will likely be the youngest Minnesotan to ever compete. Kapil who is 9-years-old won the Twin Cities Spelling Bee on March 9th and qualified him for the National Spelling Bee. The Scripps National Spelling Bee is from May 30 to June 1 in National Harbor, Maryland.
