ANGRY BIRDS IS LEAVING ANDROID
The original Angry Birds is leaving Android platforms -- and will no longer be offered at the Google Play store. Anyone still interested in playing the classic game will be able to find it with the title Red's First Flight at the iOS store.
According to the developer Rovio, the game has continued to be too popular and was "negatively impacting" other games the company wants to focus on, such as Angry Birds 2, Angry Birds Friends and Angry Birds Journey.
To be clear, the classic Angry Birds will remain playable on devices on which it has already been downloaded, even after it has been delisted.
