'Munch's Make Believe Band' At Chuck E. Cheese Forced Into Retirement

Who hasn't had a birthday party for their kids, or gone to one as a kid at Chuck E. Cheese?

Band ends residency at Chuck E. Cheese … If you go to Chuck E. Cheese for the games, the fun, and the pizza -- good news! You can still do that. But what you can no longer do is go for the music of Munch's Make Believe Band. The animatronic rock band is being forced into retirement. Chuck E. Cheese announced it is removing the animatronic band from all of its locations except for one -- in Northridge, California. A spokesperson for Chuck E. Cheese's parent company, CEC Entertainment, says, "As an important part of the legacy of the brand, we know that the animatronic band holds a special place for many fans in their childhood memories. We want our fans to know that the decision to keep the band here is meant as a gesture of love and gratitude as our legacy continues to evolve in new ways." The removal of Munch's Make Believe Band is part of the company's effort to upgrade all of its 567 locations.
