Five kids trying to take a cool selfie were rescued Monday evening after falling into an ice-covered pond at Central Park in New York.
The kids, who ranged in ages from 10 to 15, fell into the water after they posed for a photo on what they thought was solid ice.
They were rescued by two good Samaritans and later firefighters and police officers helped pull the youngsters from the icy water at about 5:50 p.m.
The five kids and the two citizen rescuers were treated for hypothermia at the scene, according the fire department. (New York Daily News)
