Minnesota's Top 10 High Schools

According to the 2017 rankings by U.S. News & World Report, released Tuesday, a charter school in Woodbury is the top Minnesota High School. The top 10 were:

  1. Math and Science Academy, Woodbury
  2. Orono Senior High, Long Lake
  3. Mahtomedi Senior High, Mahtomedi
  4. Edina Senior High, Edina
  5. Mankato West Senior High, Mankato
  6. Mounds View Senior High, Arden Hills
  7. Minnetonka Senior High, Minnetonka
  8. Eastview Senior High, Apple Valley
  9. Irondale Senior High, New Brighton
  10. Eagan Senior High, Eagan

The rankings are based on student achievement like graduation rates and proficiency tests, and the magazine examines more than 22,000 high schools.

No Minnesota school made the magazine’s top 100, while  Arizona had five of the 10 best schools on the magazine’s list.
