Minnesota Named Least-Stressed State in US

Are you anxious, frazzled, strained, unnerved, worried, or stressed? You're not alone. We all know that life can be a real drag - there's a lot to stress out about. Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse, a recent study by the American Psychological Association revealed that 83% of Americans are extra frazzled thanks to inflation. Ugh, can we catch a break here?!

But hold the phone, my friends, because it looks like those of us here in Minnesota are living our best, stress-free lives. According to a new report from WalletHub, the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" is officially America's least-stressed state. Yeah, you heard me right! So if you're looking for a little R&R and you don't live in MN, you might wanna pack your bags and head on over here to the land of hotdish and "uff da."

WalletHub analyzed 41 key indicators of stress across all 50 states, ranging from how much we work to how much we sleep (or don't sleep, let's be real). And let me tell you, Minnesota crushed it! We ranked 40th in average hours worked per week (not too shabby), 49th in share of adults getting adequate sleep, and even 50th in median credit score (wait, what?!).

But hey, let's not forget about our other Midwestern buddies. South Dakota came in at 47th, Iowa at 45th, North Dakota at 42nd, and Wisconsin at 35th. Not too shabby, folks!

Now, if you're looking for a stress-fueled adventure head to Nevada, West Virginia, New Mexico, and Louisiana which all ranked pretty high on the stress-o-meter. The "most-stressed state" award goes to... drumroll, please... Mississippi! Sorry, Mississippians, looks like you've got some serious chillin' to do.
