Here is Where "The White Lotus" is Heading Next

WARNING: Spoilers From Season's 1 & 2 Ahead...

Attention White Lotus fans! Get ready to pack your bags for a new destination in the upcoming season 3 of the popular HBO show. After two seasons of murder and mayhem at resorts in Hawaii and Italy, the third season of The White Lotus will take place in Thailand, according to reports from Variety and other media outlets.

Creator and writer Mike White, who is also responsible for directing the Emmy-winning anthology series, is reportedly scouting locations in Thailand for the new season. While HBO has declined to comment further, reports suggest that White may choose to continue using the Four Seasons chain, which has four properties in Thailand: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, the Golden Triangle, and Koh Samui.

White previously hinted at the third season taking place in Asia to portray a "satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion and spirituality." While the new cast has not yet been announced, fans have been speculating about who they would like to see in the roster.

The White Lotus has already won 10 Emmy awards for its first season, including Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series and Outstanding Supporting Actor for Murray Bartlett. Jennifer Coolidge, who played Tanya McQuoid in the show, won her first Emmy for the first season and a Golden Globe for Season 2. The show also took home two SAG awards last month.

While Season 3 will be the first without Coolidge's character, fans can still expect the same high-quality storytelling and suspense that have made the show a hit. So get ready to check in to the White Lotus — and who knows if you'll ever check out!
