Minnesota Sports Fans are TIRED

Hey there fellow Minnesota Sports fans, are you feeling sleep-deprived this week? Well, you're not alone! Thanks to the NBA and NHL playoffs, our beloved Wolves and Wild are keeping us up way past our bedtime...I mean, seriously, Game 1 between the Timberwolves and Nuggets didn't start until a ridiculous 9:50 p.m. CT on a Sunday night. By the time the game ended well past midnight, most people barely had time to catch a few winks before dealing with work, school, and parenting duties the next day. And don't even get me started on Game 1 between the Wild and Stars, which didn't start until 8:50 p.m. CT and ended in double overtime at a mind-boggling 1:01 a.m. CT. I don't know about you, but a lot of us are running on fumes.

Michael Russo didn't leave the arena in Dallas until 4 a.m. and called it "Total BS." And it's not just us Minnesotans who are suffering. Even Charles Barkley called out the unfairness of late start times, especially for fans in the Central Time Zone.

But hey, there's a glimmer of hope. Sunday's Game 4 between the Wild and Stars starts at a somewhat reasonable 5:30 p.m.... but only because it's a weekend. So, let's rest up while we can and brace ourselves for more sleepless nights ahead. We'll keep cheering on our teams with bleary eyes and caffeine in hand, because that's what true fans do. Let's hope our Wolves and Wild make it to the next round and give us a reason to celebrate, even if it means sacrificing our precious sleep. Go Wolves! Go Wild! And may the sports gods bless us with reasonable start times in the future.
