The Wild will Play in Sweden Next Season

Hold onto your lefse and grab your passports! It’s official - the Wild are heading to Sweden next season to play two games. The NHL announced today that the Wild will be joining the Detroit Red Wings, Ottawa Senators, and Toronto Maple Leafs at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm next fall.

On November 18th, the Wild will face off against the Ottawa Senators bright and early at 10 a.m. CST. On the 19th, they'll take on the Toronto Maple Leafs at 7 a.m. CST.

If you’re already planning your trip across the pond to watch the Wild, tickets and travel packages will be available online starting May 3rd.

This trip should be extra special for Jonas Brodin, Joel Eriksson Ek, Filip Gustavsson, Marcus Johnsson, John Klingberg, Gustav Nyquist, Oskar Sundqvist, and Jesper Wallstedt who are the eight Swedish players on the team.

Before we all get excited and pack our bags, we need to focus on the task at hand... Game 6 is coming up on Friday at the X, and the Wild are down 3-2 in their series against the Stars. Here's hoping they stay out of the penalty box, and score themselves the W Friday night!
