If you live in Florida near a canal and hear a knock at the door late at night, be sure to ask "Who is it?" before opening it.
Elizabeth Fabbri, who lives near Fort Myers with her family, heard someone knocking at the door at 10:30 p.m. They weren't expecting anyone, but Elizabeth opened the door anyway and was shocked to find a five-foot alligator on the doorstep staring at her. Her first thought, of course, was to take out her phone and snap a photo of it. The gator gave her a smile and then turned around and walked away. (The Gainesville Sun)
